Woodhull Township is located in the extreme southwest corner
of Shiawassee County. Centered along Ingham County's north border, Woodhull Township is much closer to Lansing and East Lansing than its own county seat of Owasso. Easy expressway access makes for a short 15 minute trip to East Lansing, 20 to
25 minutes to downtown Lansing, and less than 15 minutes to
the popular Meridian Mall shopping district.

Agriculture is the primary business of Woodhull township with Shaftsburg being its only populated community.
The peaceful serenity of the Shaftsburg area attracts homeowners to rural setting of Hidden Lake Estates. This subdivision of contemporary homes is built around a private lake reported to be one of the finest fishing spots in the area. Only two miles to the I-69 expressway, a Hidden Lake resident is not far from the amenities of nearby Lansing, East Lansing and Michigan State University.
